【Management Trainee】
Job Description
Management Trainee will go through a structured training program to learn Store operations by completing training assignments and job rotations. Upon completion, Management Trainee will become Supervisor to back up Assistant Store Manager to ensure store service efficiency and productivity, which includes overall store operations sales, merchandise display and in the following areas:
• Maintains a healthy level of inventory in designated department;
• Ensures smooth transaction and have sufficient resources to carry out operations;
• Monitor store cleanliness to create a healthy and safe environment;
• Performs operations management duties;
• Expert in POS system.

Job Requirement
• Post-secondary education;
• Flexibility work schedule including weekdays, weekends and holidays with shift duties;
• Fluent in spoken English, Chinese speaking is a bonus;
• Possess basic to intermediate knowledge in Microsoft office applications: Words, Excel and PowerPoint;
• High integrity and work ethics;
• Able to work independently and collaboratively;
• Passionate and enthusiastic in delivering all the job responsibilities;
• Must be able to lift up to 20lbs;

Additional Information
• Individuals with relevant work experience will be first considered;
• Japanese speaking and Japanese literate individuals are preferred ;
• Training will be provided

This position involves strong team and people management skills, very high standards of customer service, together with hands-on sales and operations responsibilities.

Main responsibilities
• take ownership of the store with variety Sections and Brands,
• lead and coach a team of assistant managers/ supervisors and team leaders,
• provide full support to the Store Management in building Client relationships,
• drive the Department’s performance.

Main activities
Team Management and Development
• Develop Managers/ supervisors to ensure teams deliver the brand’s promise to every client, supporting them with individual coaching and training plans
• Identify, recruit and develop talents, secure succession plans in collaboration with the Regional Manager
• Set individual and team goals; and sales targets;
• Manage and motivate the team to drive business
• Client and Business Development

Support the team in building long term Client relationship
• Establish a Client-centric mindset in store to ensure the highest level of Client experience
• Communicate and inspire the team on corporate strategy
• Develop the business of our Department
• Define and implement action plans to boost business and maximize operation performance,
• Selling and Floor Management

Act as a role model to the team, supporting them with their own sales
• Build and develop own Client portfolio
• Ensure business opportunities are maximized through efficient sales floor management
• Provide consistent and qualitative feedback to the team, coach them on the spot and coach
• Managers in coaching their own teams

Operations
• Ensure policies, standards and company procedures are communicated and implemented
• Be accountable for inventory management
• Support Regional Manager in staff planning (workforce management)
• Monitor store maintenance (depending on the store size)
• Organize communication with business partners such as department stores (if applicable)

Expected professional experience
• Possess minimum 5 years in fast pace supermarket or general merchandise retail business experience, supervising 15 or more direct reports to include responsibility of performance management, mentorship and recruitment.
• Have brand management experience will be in advantage
• Strong communication, interpersonal and people management skills
• Passionate, empathetic, team player, detail-minded
• Good command of English plus an additional second language (e.g. Cantonese/ Mandarin/Japanese/ French etc.) is required
• Candidate with less experienced will be considered for Assistant Manager/ Store Supervisor

【Store Supervisor】
Job Description
• Ensure store service efficiency and productivity which includes overall store operations sales and merchandise display;
• Maintains a healthy level of inventory in designated department;
• Manages customer service levels including cash, cashier and merchandising;
• Ensures cashier/sales associate staff comply with all company’s guidelines;
• Monitor standards of housekeeping and image;
• Participates in Health & Safety reviews;
• Carries out Operations Management duties;
• Maintains and controls cash registers and works with Assistant Manager in order to maintain balanced inventory.
• Oversees human resource function of cash staff, including but not limited to training, coaching and performance management.

Job Requirement
• Post-secondary education;
• Posses basic to intermediate knowledge in Microsoft office applications: Words, Excel and PowerPoint;
• High integrity and work ethics;
• Able to work independently and collaboratively;
• Organized, detailed oriented and holds sense of ownership;
• Flexible work hours including some evenings, weekends and holidays;
• Must be able to communicate in English;
• Must be able to lift up to 20lbs;
• Individuals with relevant work experience will be first considered.
